HOW DO I EDIT THE TABS ON MY BLOG?
-
I want to set my posts up under different tab holders. At present I have my “Turkey & Black Sea” posts set up under HOME whereas I wanted them under a tab called TO TURKEY & THE BLACK SEA. This is the same as I currently have the Lets Go to INDIA tab. What I want people to see on my site when they come to it is: under Introduction the reason why I’m writing the blog (the first post I ever made) and then see the country tab to
which I’m currently posting. Hope this makes sense; I had to explain what I mean in a bit of a circular way.The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi Lorraine – You can do this by using categories on your posts, and then setting up Category Pages tabs. We have a full guide for how to do this here:
Category PagesIf you get stuck, please let me know which specific step is tripping you up, and what happens when you try to follow it – I’ll be happy to help! :)

I’ve given it a go and got stuck. I don’t know whether I explained myself very clearly, but it’s not the posts I want to organise but rather the pages, i.e. I want the INTRODUCTION tab followed by TO INDIA TAB followed by POSTINGS FROM INDIA TAB followed by “TURKEY AND THE BLACK SEA”. I followed your instructions and thought I was making good progress; I got to the “appearance/menu/ screen where all four pages were shown. It instructed me there to move the pages into the order I wanted them to appear. I did this and “made change” but it hasn’t changed on my blog. Help?

Hi Eurello,
I’ve nearly got there. I have one last bit I just can’t work out. I want INTRODUCTION to appear on the tab behind my first tab (THE AEGEAN< TURKEY AND BLACK SEA but of course it’s a page. How am I able to move it? -
Hi Lorraine – Nice, you nearly had it! But you hadn’t ticked the box for ‘primary navigation’ so your menu wasn’t activated. I activated it for you and removed a couple of duplicate pages.
You can add or delete pages, and/or drag your pages into a different order here:
https://lorraine463.wordpress.com/wp-admin/nav-menus.phpAlso, if you want to nest any of the tabs under other tabs, you can do that by dragging them slightly to the right in the menu, as pictured here:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/#changing-the-order-creating-sub-menusJust remember that each time you make a change to your menu, you need to click the blue “Save Menu” button again.
Let me know if you need further help with this!
