How do I embed a SWF without a plugin?

  Hi,

  I’ve just started my online portfolio at edwin-jones.com. I’d really like to get some of my flash work up there but I’m using the wordpress.com hosting service and I can’t install plugins or do anything advanced. Is there any way to get an swf running on my website? If not, what sort of workaround should I use?

  Flash cannot be directly embedded here due to security concerns. If you are talking about videos, you can host them at one of the video sharing services such as youtube or dailymotion, or vimeo, or vodpod and then use the shortcode here to put them in posts or pages. Or you can buy the videopress upgrade and then upload the videos directly here.

  Hmmm, well I guess I can get videos in, as for the SWF’s I’m just linking to downloads from MediaFire for now.
