how do I embed an NFB video onto my blog?
-
I hadn’t been brave enough to even think about putting video in any of my blogs other than by providing a basic link. But I accidentally embedded a YouTube video on one of my other blogs and it worked great, So I did it again and it worked great too… except the “embed code” that I copied from YouTube was different after I saved,
So when I discovered today that The National Film Board of Canada allows people to embed videos from their site into blogs (and there is apparently an NFB plug-in for wordpress) and I had the perfect reason to embed one of their films that is relevant to my post, when I try copying the embed code it disappears.
The NFB site talks about a plug in, but reading everything I could find here indicates that I can’t use plug-ins in my blog (probably why I couldn’t figure out how to do it.
I can put any youtube video in my blog? So the NFB will allow me to embed their films, but wordpress is stopping me? I don’t get it,
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

There are no plugins for blogs at WordPress.com.
The NFB is putting lots of their old stuff on YouTube, so if you can find it there you can post it. Otherwise, for platforms like Flash which are not supported here (for security reasons) you can use the VodPod button to post the video in your blog, provided the originator supplies some embed code. Go to http://vodpod.com and use the instructions there for the Vodpod Button for WordPress.COM.
