How do I embed video from Instagram?

Now that Instagram has video I would like to embed them into my blog. There are many ways to get the code to do this (like this: http://thenextweb.com/shareables/2013/06/28/embed-instagram/) but when I paste the code into the “text” tab and hit publish, it disappears.

Instagram isn’t listed among the video embeds WordPress supports, but it is listed among the photo embeds shortcuts. Is Instagram video support on the horizon?

Given that instagram video is one week old, I wouldn’t wait for it. You can use the Gigya shortcode workaround.

Thanks, raincoaster. I’m not super great with code, so I don’t think I’ve quite figured out how to use the gigya shortcut. If I’m trying to embed an Instagram video (for example: http://instagram.com/p/a18fNqOIK8/) I went to ‘inspect element’ to grab the mp4 address, but this shortcode still doesn’t work. Am I missing something?

The only work around I found was transfering the instagram video from my phone onto my computer and then uploading the mp4 file from my computer.
I tried to upload a video straight from my phone onto the wordpress app, but got an error.
