How do I empty my blog of all content and start from absolute scratch?

  I am new to WordPress. Yesterday I created an account and imported my blog from blogger. It worked fine. But then I batch-deleted all of my posts by accident in WordPress. I tried to import them again but this time WordPress didn’t import anything. I tried to clear all data and reset WordPress, but the import function never worked again. I noticed that WordPress has saved all my tags, though. This suggests that the Clear/Reset buttons aren’t really clearing *everything*, which is what I want to do so that I can re-import my entire blog again.

  Well, I just discovered that all my deleted posts were hanging out in the Trash (apparently they aren’t really gone until you delete them again). So I just restored them and everything is back to normal.

  But it still begs the question- how does one completely reset a WordPress blog and start from scratch (ie, remove all tags, all categories, even deleted posts in the trash, etc)?
