How do I enroll a new user in a private blog?
-
Adding new users to a private blog. In the Help section, the following message appears: “In the Invite a New User to Your Blog section at the bottom, type the user’s email address”
But there is no link “Invite a New User to Your Blog” on our user page

The isn’t literally that, I’ll look into getting that changed, but you can invite folks specifically at Users -> Invite New in your Dashboard.

The problem ISN’T inviting people, it’s ENROLLING people in a private blog, once they’ve got a user name.

Both systems were merged quite a while ago. You need to invite them to your blog as a Viewer or higher user role.

Sorry, I’m not communicating with you. I don’t find a way to enroll a new user onto a private blog. Inviting the user gives the user a new user name, but the-name is not then enrolled in my blog. how do I accomplish that?

To invite someone to a private blog, you’ll need to send them an invitation email via your Users -> Invite New page.
Once you’ve invited the user to your blog, they’ll need to click on the “Accept Invite” button in their invitation email. If they don’t already have a WordPress.com account, they will be prompted to sign up for one then. Otherwise, they’ll simply need to log into their account:
