how do I enter my default hosting to edit index.php?

    Hi,
    Sorry for any ignorance but I’m pretty darn new in WordPress..
    I haven’t upgraded to any hosting service yet because still trying to know the system, just made the default site with some theme i selected…

    So meanwhile whats my web server? where is the site hosted? how do I enter its ftp to edit stuff like index.php or other files?
    I just want to make the site how I want it and then purchase the hosting service afterwords…

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Your blog is hosted at WordPress.com. There is no FTP access to WP.com blogs, nor can you edit the php.

    Start here: http://learn.wordpress.com

    WP.com is a turnkey blogging solution. If you want to edit php and so on, you will have to purchase hosting elsewhere, install software from WordPress.ORG, and away you go. If you just want to blog, go ahead. Your blog is up and running.
