How do I export my wordpress.com followers to my new mail host?

    I have moved my blog to another site, where aWeber will be sending it out to followers. How can I export my wordpress.com followers to this new site?

    Followers can be transferred to a self-hosted WordPress install by installing Jetpack and following the instructions here: Moving Your Subscribers

    However, I think (correct me if I’m wrong) what you’re describing is something different: a mailing list. When your current followers signed up, they were requesting blog post updates, but they did not consent to being added to a mailing list.

    In that case, my recommendation would be to add a blog post describing the site changes and talking ABOUT your new mailing list, encouraging your followers to sign up for it via a link. Your followers will receive that post as part of their current subscription and that way, they know what’s going on and have the option to join your new list.
