How do I find a history of my deletions, edits, etc., without a plug-in?

My ex is claiming I libeled her in a blog post (not true), but she claims to the court that I deleted the post on a certain date last fall. Is there a way to find a list showing a history of deleted posts, when they were made, etc.?

I know I can go to a particular post and find any historical revisions I’ve made, but since I never did such a thing, I have no blog posting name to search for in the first place. That’s why I’d like to show a simple history of all post edits/changes/deletions.

I am using a simple version of WP, so I cannot install any plug-ins (having already downloaded a history plug-in, but later finding out I cannot do that since I don’t have the WP.org account).

Is there another way to do this?

    Thanks!

    Hi there,

You mentioned the revision history of specific posts, but that’s the only history stored of your posts and their edits. Even if a post did exist and was deleted, once the trash was emptied (happens automatically every 30 days) the revision history goes with it.

Even with a history plugin, I believe this would only work when you have the history plugin installed before such incidents allegedly occur.

There are some cached views of your site at the Internet Archive:

    Is that helpful at all?

    Thank you, Alex G.

I thought there might be a list of all history having taken place, something that shows all activity on one screen (instead of revisions for each post). Shot in the dark!

Yes, I used WayBackMachine last night, which shows the posts I’d had on 10/15/14 and after, and even a few months before in August. However, her claim is that a post I made on 10/14 of that year was put up and removed (which doesn’t really make sense if she’s labeling it as libel [though it doesn’t exist because no such post was made]–because if it were only up for that day or less, who the hell read it?

Anyway, Alex, sorry for the vent! ; )

    Happy blogging!
