How do I find my thread after posting?
-
I have read various help offerings but don’t see instructions on how to find my thread after I’ve posted it. Which probably means I will never see this one again, either! LOL There must be a way to see if anyone has answered my question…. even if they haven’t, how do I find my Q?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi,
You can see them on your forum profile. Here’s yours: https://en.forums.wordpress.com/profile/imagesbyrox

When you start a thread in the forum, also make sure that you are subscribed to it. That way you’ll receive an email every time someone responds. You can subscribe by either ticking the “Notify me of followup posts” box under the text box when posting, or by clicking the “Subscribe to Topic” link in the sidebar.
To see previous threads in which you’ve posted, click on your username at the top right of the screen (that is, under the menu: “Welcome, ‘username’|Log Out). You will see a list with all your posts, most recent first.

Sorry to hear you’re having trouble finding older threads. There is a checkbox you can check when you fist created the thread. It says, “Notify me of follow ups via email.” If you checked that box, you will receive an email when someone replies. If you didn’t check that box, you can click the link on the right that says, “Add this topic to your favorites.” You can also add your own reply and check the notify me box.
You can also click the word member under your profile name in any post you’ve written or one you’ve replied to. That will take you to a profile screen that shows any comments you’ve made or threads you’ve initiated.
Hope this helps!

I am getting email notifications, but cannot figure out how to find my threads from inside wordpress. I don’t think I should have to go through the email to find them? Where is the wordpress forum profile you refer to ?? I am searching all over the place in wordpress and keep getting stuck in wordpress.com which does not acknowledge me because I am using the free version. Does that make a difference? Maybe I have to pay to have a forum profile? Thanks for your patience. I am sure wordpress will be wonderful if I can just make it work for me. Or, it may be too advanced for me… I hope not. I wish I could talk to someone…….

I have read all the answers. I always do. I learned that a long time ago in other forums.
I do not see the word Member under my name. I am probably not on the same page as you are, raincoaster.
I go to wordpress, I click on the name, roxannerogers under the little head that indicates my profile I guess. That takes me to my dashboard, and I see, Activity, Your Stuff, Stats, Quick draft, and What’s hot.
I don’t see anything leading me to what you mentioned.
So then I click on Help, under the little head image.
I scroll down to Forums.
I look around for a link that will lead me to my threads, or answers or anything.
I’m lost.
I guess email is the only way to find them.
That’s ok. Just looking for confirmation that I am not losing my mind! LOL
Sorry to be so dumb!!
I am really trying…. -
ON THIS PAGE. RIGHT HERE. SEE THE POSTS YOU HAVE MADE IN THIS THREAD? Under your name on each of your comments is the word Member. Click it.

Rox, you have to be logged in to the forum. Go to https://en.forums.wordpress.com/ and login. Once you’re logged in, the top right corner will say Welcome, Roxanne, or whatever user name you set up when you created your account.

My issue is with
How do I find this thread other than with my email.I am logged in.
I am trying t figure out how to find my forum when I am in wordpress, without having t access my email notices.
what am I saying that is not clear here?
I am only finding this by going through many steps, either, my email notifications or many hoops in wordpress which I detailed above.
I have some questions and hope to be able to use this WordPress website, but it seems the forum is eluding me …….

It would appear that simply bookmarking the support forum link https://en.forums.wordpress.com and then using the links we have identified for you above is the way to go.I have some questions and hope to be able to use this WordPress website…
Setting that aside, specifically, what is it that you need help with please?

Thanks. I will now begin the wordpress learning center process. I was trying to make sure there was a forum available before I got too deep, spent too much time with it all. looks like there is, just a little harder to get to than some. I feel like a small town girl in a big city who just wants a carton of milk to make a lovely cake.
thanks again.
