How do I find out the colours used on my theme (SELA)
-
I’ve been using the sela theme for ages and I love it, but, I cannot, for the life of me, find out what the colour code is for the default menu colour.
I don’t know how many times I have tried and tried to find it and even slowly moving the little circle around the colour picker to match it up, I cant quite find the exact match.
I really just want to know this so that I can use the same colour elsewhere on my blog!
This is so frustrating, if anyone has any knowledge, please, please share it with me.
Thank you!! xxThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I am more than happy to help.
Have you tried looking in the themes style.css file? Find the menu item, (often called nav, navbar, or navigation) in the css. The color should be there. However, they may use a color name rather than a code, depending on the theme. If that is the case you can use a color picker like this one to determine the code:Just put in the color name given in the css and it will give you the code.

Hi, the background color of menu element on your site is #f25f70. If you want also to draw with this color in some image editor, you can set the RGB values manually to Red: 242, Green: 95, Blue: 112.

Glad you’re set for now – thanks, madeincosmos!
I wanted to suggest a few tools in case this ever comes up again:
Colorzilla is a browser tool that lets you put an eyedropper on any element in a theme to find its colour
http://www.colorzilla.com/Using a browser inspector is also a great way to find a site’s colours and other CSS properties
