  How can I determine the WP version I am now using?

  You can’t as this is not WordPress.org.

  If you are referring to the site you linked to stoutstandards.wordpress.com , WordPress.com does not have version numbers.

  Why do you think you need to know a version number?

  Because a friend in the UK was trying to help with all my problems and he asked which version I had. He was able to show what version he had but I could not bring up the same page.

  For future reference, these are the Support docs relevant for WordPress.com: http://en.support.wordpress.com/

  Anything else you find on the Internet for “WordPress” is most likely referring to the standalone WordPress software.

  Just so you know, there recently have been difficulties in accessing WordPress.com from the UK, if that is where you are connecting from.

  @disc440 – you are running at least the most current version of WordPress software and most of the time your software is more advanced than the stable release available for WordPress.ORG users (your friend) – so you can tell your friend that your software version is more current than his is!! :)
