How do I find the size of my featured image?
-
I have the seal theme and am having trouble using the featured images on my blog. It seems no matter what size I make my image, the featured image ends up being cut off on the top and bottom. I read all of the information and cannot find an idea size for the featured image. Does anyone know?

Hi,
The Quick Specs section at the bottom of the Sela theme guide says (dimensions in pixels):
4. The featured image on the front page and on pages works best with images at least 1180 wide.
5. Featured Images for posts should be at least 820 wide by 312.Featured images are cropped on the Sela theme, as they are on many themes. Analysis of the featured images on pages of the Sela demo reveals that featured images are cropped to 1180 x 610 on the front page template, and 1180 x 435 on the default and full width page templates. These dimensions will be scaled down on smaller screens. The dimensions may also be scaled up, with loss of image quality, on larger screens, though I haven’t tested this.
The URL of the featured image on your front page is https://upandatemcom.files.wordpress.com/2016/10/img_0038.jpg?w=1180&h=610&crop=1, which indicates that its dimensions are 1180 x 610 pixels, the same as the dimensions of the featured image on the front page of the demo.
