How do I find the WordPress IP address in order to use an LCN subdomain?
-
Hi, I’m really struggling to set up a subdomain for my blog. I’ve paid for the remapping upgrade, but domain name is purchased through LCN, which is turning out to be a pain. After a lot of trying to decypher it all I emailed them and this is what I got as a response:
“If WordPress are going to be hosting the sub-domain for you we will need the IP address of the server that will be running this for you, so that we can create what is called an ‘a record’ in your DNS. You can get this from the host provider directly. When you have got this, please let me know by replying to this email and I can set this up for you.”
If you can provide any assistance in this I would be very very grateful, I’m frustrated and confused!
Many thanks in advance!

Hi there,
Did you already figure this out yourself? I can see that you have http://blog.vrindawebb.com pointed to your WordPress.com site.
If you have any questions, please let me know.

Hi!
Thank you for responding! The blog I’m having an issue with is http://www.vastusolutions.wordpress.com, my vrindawebb.com domain was purchased through a different company and connected perfectly.
I need to connect blog.vastusolutions.co.uk to the above blog and would be glad of advice!
Thanks again!

Hi there,
I have created a new zone record for the vastusolutions.co.uk domain. You should now be able to use the blog.vastusolutions.co.uk subdomain with your site.
Let me know if you are able to get this to work using the guide here:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-subdomain/If not, let me know what part you get stuck on, and I’ll be glad to assist.
