How do I fix so that the start-page for my site, shows the entries in its whole?
-
If you look at my website now: http://indienational.wordpress.com/ – you can see that it doesn’t show the entry that I’ve made.. in its total.
I want it to show the picture and the full text without the reader having to click “Continue reading..”
How do I do this?
Kindest regards,
Angelica

You could change themes to one that shows the whole post on the main page. The newer ones don’t.
You could, IF the theme allows it, put a manual excerpt in the Excerpt box below the Write Post page and include the entire post. Note that your theme is designed for excerpts, not entire posts, and that will definitely hurt the look of the blog.

Hi there,
Most themes do provide full posts but the newer themes do not as that’s not the trend. the trend is to display only excerpts on the front page of the blog. I just put the Sight theme up on my test blog. It has an active excerpt box and that means you can use it to override the excerpt display on the front page.On any theme with an active excerpt box you can use this workaround to have full posts on the front page.
You compose your whole post first and before you publish it you switch to the HTML (Text) editor, copy the code, paste it into the Excerpt box, and publish the post. http://en.support.wordpress.com/splitting-content/excerpts/#creating-excerpts
If you do not see an excerpt box then go to screen options on the top right hand corner of your Admin page and include:
Post – Likes and Shares, Format*, Categories, Tags, Excerpt, Send Trackbacks, Discussion, Comments**, Slug, Author, Revisions, Writing HelperP.S. On themes that do have an active excerpt function, the workaround works very well but you have to do it on every post you create.
