How do I fix the issue with the notification button?

When I click the notifications button, they won’t load. The little circle just keeps going and going and going. It’s been like this for three days now. How do fix it?

Hi there. Usually this is either a browser or a connection issue.
Try clearing your browser cache and cookies. http://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/
Also try resetting your modem/router.
Let me know if none of that works.

Other things to try:
- Update the browser. Which browser are you using (including version, please)?
- Use a different PC or device.

I’m using the most recent version of Google Chrome.
If I could simply use a different device, it wouldn’t be an issue, but this is my laptop and the other devices in the house are being used by other people. -

@musicdoc1 doesn’t mean switch to the other device permanently, but if you don’t experience the problem on a different device, then we know the problem is on your computer. If you have the problem on other computers and on other browsers, then we know the problem is on WordPress.com’s end. Can you please check that and let us know the result?
Another possibility: Chrome is supposed to do it automatically, but also please make sure your flash player is updated.
Lastly, do you have any add-ons/extensions installed in Chrome? Try disabling them and see if that makes a difference. Specifically Ad-block or antivirus extensions might be blocking that as a pop-up, but disable all extensions and add them back one at a time to check.
