How do I format my MX records to format my Custom DNS?

  • Unknown's avatar

I have the DNS codes from godaddy to redirect my email mapping (I just mapped my new domain to wordpress but need to keep my email separate). But I’m not sure how to format the MX records provided by godaddy to fit the wordpress format. I’m not that familiar with HTML. Here are the two DNS codes I was given:

    smtp.secureserver.net
    mailstore1.secureserver.net

    Thanks.

    Hi there,

    Could you try this?

    1. Go to Store > Domains in your Dashboard.

    2. Click “Edit DNS” button on the right of your domain name.

    3. In the text box, paste the code below exactly:

    MX 0 smtp.secureserver.net.
    MX 10 mailstore1.secureserver.net.

    4. Hit the save button.

Please allow 4-8 hours for .COM and .NET domains and about 24-48 hours for all other domain extensions for these changes to complete.
