How do I format this properly?

    I am copying an essay into my free WordPress blog the following cell:

    <table cellspacing=”0″ cellpadding=”0″>
    <tbody>
    <tr>
    <td valign=”top”>Per me si va nella città dolente,
    per me si va nell’etterno dolore,
    per me si va tra la perduta gente.
    Giustizia mosse il mio alto fattore:
    fecemi la divina podestate,
    la somma sapïenza e ‘l primo amore;
    dinanzi a me non fuor cose create
    se non etterne, e io etterno duro.
    Lasciate ogne speranza, voi ch’intrate.</td>
    <td valign=”top”>Through me you pass into the city of woe:
    Through me you pass into eternal pain:
    Through me among the people lost for aye.
    Justice the founder of my fabric mov’d:
    To rear me was the task of power divine,
    Supremest wisdom, and primeval love.
    Before me things create were none, save things
    Eternal, and eternal I endure.“All hope abandon ye who enter here.”</td>
    </tr>
    </tbody>
    </table>

    In the person’s article, the Italian lines match up perfectly with the English lines, but on the blog the Italian lines get broken, with the result that they do not match. If you copy the above into your blogs, you’ll see what I mean.

    Question: Is there a way for me to fix this?

    Hi,

    It looks like you accidentally doubled up the last line. If you change
    Eternal, and eternal I endure.“All hope abandon ye who enter here.”
    to

    Eternal, and eternal I endure.
    “All hope abandon ye who enter here.”

    The lines should match up.

    Also, you might want to try changing the cellspacing value from 0 to 1.
