How do I forward a domain owned through go daddy?
-
I own the domain http://www.drewbphoto.com I purchased it through godaddy.com Now, I’m trying to make it so that when people go to http://www.drewbphoto.com it will automatically forward them to http://www.drewbphoto.wordpress.com I’ve been back and forth with go daddy’s support, and I can’t seem to get this working. I have an email through that domain on go daddy too, so it’s important that that doesn’t get messed up. I do not know . . . well basically anything about this sort of stuff, so I’d appreciate it if you could keep it as dumbed down as possible.
Thanks and have a great day! :)

Hi there,
You can map your domain to your WordPress.com site by following this guide:
http://support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/map-existing-domain/Once you do so, you’ll need to add your MX records from GoDaddy to your DNS here. These instructions should come in handy:

Thanks for your response. I guess my first question would be do I have to purchase the domain mapping upgrade?

Yes, you need a Domain Mapping upgrade to fully redirect your domain toward your WordPress.com blog. You can go to Store > Domains on your blog’s dashboard and follow the steps there.
Also, you may want to review the following guide before going through the process.
