How do I forward [myname].wordpress.com to external WP site at [myname].net ?

  I had a bare bones development/testing site sitting at billyzduke.wordpress.com for awhile, but now that I have my own WordPress site spun up at billyzduke.net, I’d like billyzduke.wordpress.com to forward to my actual blog site (hosted on MediaTemple).

  I think I may have kneecapped myself here by deleting the development site, cause now the domain I had no longer seems available… Any help?

  billyzduke.wordpress.com is no longer available.
  The authors have deleted this site.

  Was there content on that site you wished to recover? The normal procedure is to export your content and import it to the new site before you delete it so that any media transfers to the new domain. If (and only if) you deleted the site less than 30 days ago staff can recover it. Add the word modlook to the tag box here on the far right to gain staff attention. I’m not sure about “forwarding” but you could purchase a site redirect (that’s if the address could be recovered).

  No, there was no content on the site that I need to recover. It was a temp/test site. The site I want to redirect to has all the content it requires already living over there. I deleted billyzduke.wordpress.com TODAY.

  Well, I guess if they can recover the domain, that redirect purchase looks like exactly what I need. Thanks!

  If you had no content and likely no traffic on a development site, you may not need a redirect. That redirect would mean that anyone typing in billyzduke.wordpress.com gets sent to billyzduke.net instead.

  That’s exactly what I want: billyzduke.wordpress.com to redirect to billyzduke.net. The former was a testing site, the latter IS my current live blog site. I had forgotten about the old dev site at the former until today, but if the URL exists, I would rather update it to go to where the content is…
