How do I found out the admin account for my site hosted on wordpress
-
I need to remove an old blog but no longer know the admin account, my account is just a contributor. The recover account process for the unknown admin account requires information I don’t have like the original sign up email. I’m sure I created the admin account email address and if I could find out what it is I can recover it via gmail but I don’t know what it is. Any way to find out the email address used for the admin account?

Hi there,
We can only tell you the email address associated with an account if you’ve successfully verified ownership of the account via our account recovery process. You can find the steps at the following link, if you want to try that:
If you no longer want that site listed in your account, you can leave it, removing yourself as a contributor, from this page:

thank you for the response but neither option helps me unfortunately.
I don’t know which email address was used for admin account so cannot access the Activation URL and no payment was made so do not have a transaction id. If I knew what the email address was then I could probably regain access to the email address and go through the normal password recovery flow.
It’s not just about removing the site from my account, I need to remove the site completely as it is an old company blog that needs to be deleted.
IF there was a way to find out the email address used as admin for the site, I can take the next steps to recover the account and then remove the site. This is where I am stuck.
