You appear to be asking a question that is relevant only to those with WordPress.ORG software installs and not to those with WordPress.COM hosted blogs like http://onegreatcause.wordpress.com/
    Read the differences here http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

Please state exactly what it is that you want to accomplish.

I have a file in my media folder. It is a .jpg file. I had to upload my .zip file as a .jpg and am now trying to access the .jpg file to download it so I can change it back to a .zip file. Since it’s not a real .jpg file there isn’t an image to do the save image as. I just want to get my .zip file out of the media folder. There seems to be no way to do this. I even tried to do the export like you suggested yesterday but I was never prompted to export images as well.

    Hi,

You do not have access to the file directory but you can download or delete the file by going to your media library (media/library from WPAdmin).

Find the file in your library and click on it. This will open up a pop up dialog titled “attachment details”.

Click “delete permanently” on the right hand side to delete.

To download, click “View attachment page”, then on the attachment page clicking the link to the file should initiate a download – or right click and save as. The attachment link should look like this –

    ?attachment_id=202

Not sure why you are disguising .zip files as .jpegs, especially since you could have just uploaded a zip archive, but hopefully that info helps you.

Don’t know why firefox wouldn’t let me download the file. Safari is letting me. Thanks for the assist guys. Much appreciated.

    Cheers!
