How do I ge the old editor back?

There used to be a button allowing me to get rid of the awful new editor. It has disappeared.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hi there. That button was removed about a month ago. We’re not getting the button back, but we can still use the classic editor. Staff has confirmed that the old editor will not be removed.

The simplest option now is to bookmark your WP-Admin dashboard and always create and edit new posts and pages via that. To find your WP-Admin dashboard, click on the WP-Admin link on the My Sites page, or add “wp-admin/” at the end of your WordPress.com URLs (http://hotelsrome.wordpress.com/wp-admin/). Click on Posts ->Add New to create new posts and Posts ->All Posts to edit existing ones.

If you don’t mind “getting your hands dirty” a bit, another user has created a workaround in the form of a user script you can install in your browser that will automatically take you to the classic editor every time the new one tries to load, like when you click the New Post or Edit buttons in the admin bar or on-site. It works like a charm and is much simpler than it appears. See this link for instructions: http://git.io/wpcom-restore-classic-ed
