How do I get a blog image to publicize in Facebook when FB repeats an old image?
-
When I auto publicize a blog post on Facebook, Facebook uses the same picture over and over, which is from another older post, even though I have set the featured image for the new post. If I copy and paste the link into Facebook, it still uses that same old picture with the option to upload a new image. For example, when I publicized this post:
They Missed Christmas – Chaplain Bill Wolfe encourages us not to miss CHRIST in Christmas this year
Facebook posted it with the image from this post:
Our Latest “Blog Award” and How It’s Helping Us Spread the Gospel
Ever since I posted that article (and added the “blog award” image as a footer image as well), Facebook only uses that image.
I am created a new post, typing new information, setting a featured image, I disconnected and reconnected the publicize feature, and more. This feature used to work properly, but now seems stuck on that one image.
HELP!!!
Thanks in advance,

I’m sorry but we cannot help with this. We have no control over the images that Facebook chooses to display or when they choose to flush their image caches. We really only send them the URL of the post, and they hunt through that for the excerpt and images to include.
