How do I get a refund?

How do I get a refund for my recently purchased upgrades? I have purchased more that $200 worth of WordPress features in the last few weeks and it is absolutely IMPOSSIBLE to get any support. Customer support is not too much to ask from a service that is EXTREMELY technical by nature. To say the least, I am not a satisfied customer.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

This is the first post you’ve made in the technical support forum, so it’s not unusual that you wouldn’t have recieved help. We have no record of your requesting it.

In any case, provided you are within the 30 day refund window, you can request a refund on your UPgrades page of the dashboard, by hovering over the upgrade.

@RC – yet another “last several weeks” claim with a 6 day old account and a completely empty blog and as you noted no questions ask at all

Thank you for your input folks and I appreciate your help @raincoaster. While I do like the concept of the online technical support forum, I feel that it is simply not enough support to provide paying customers that are investing in a product that is very costly and technical.

As a Marketing/ Communications professional, I find it irresponsible for a large company like WP to rely solely on a community of online users to support their customer base. Almost every other Sales Dept in the world provides a level of support that enables consumers to interact with representatives at the company to ensure that they are satisfied with their purchase.

I would like to apologize to the online community for not giving you a chance and I hope that my diplomatic response will warrant further support from the community if I choose to stay.

You have a six day old, completely empty blog. Are you really talking about http://novacat.com/ becaues you haven’t had it a week and thus couldn’t have spent $200 on it “over the past few weeks.”

Live chat staff support comes with the $299 business upgrade and then is only 9-5 North American times as far as I’m aware.

For full live 24 hour support you can expect to pay in the thousands per year. $200 a year for a website is not costly. WordPress.com is not technical. This is why we think you must be talking about some other site.

If you really do want to get going on WordPress.com, then stop buying upgrades until you’re more familiar with the way it works. Go through http://learn.wordpress.com and make at least five posts and at least one page, upload one image and embed one youtube. By the time you’re done your site will give you a much better idea of how it functions and what you can make it look like with various upgrades.

In any case, if you go to the Support documents which are in the header here and in the dashboard of your blog under Help, http://en.support.wordpress.com/ , and type “Refund” you will find the answer http://en.support.wordpress.com/?s=refund

Thanks again @raincoaster. I will stop buying upgrades until I become more familiar with the product.
