How do I get a W-9 from WordPress?

  I’m working with a college campus organization to get a new website up and running for the Fall semester, but I need a W-9 form for reimbursement. After quickly looking over responses on the forums, it looks like some users got the form /after/ their payment, which would be an issue for me. Also, this organization is tax exempt so I may run into issues with that. A fast response would be greatly appreciated!

  Hi @rhadot, we can send tax forms if you have more than $600 transactions. Can you help us understand why you need the W9? I understand it’s necessary when more than $600 is paid to an independent contractor in a calendar year.

  @supernovia we aren’t planning on spending more that $600 (the Business plan should be enough), and to my understanding Michigan State University requires a tax forum when purchasing for RHA (the on-campus organization the website is for) because RHA is tax exempt as a public university affiliated organization. Again, this is just to the best of my understanding.
