How do I get "About" and other sections to appear on sidebar?

Hi. I would like to be able to have my “About” section appear on the side of my blog. I’d also like to incorporate Facebook and other social media as seen on this blog that I follow:

Hi there!
The “About” Section that appears on the side is the About.me Widget. In order to add Widgets to your site you go into Appearance> Widgets.
Once you find the Widgets you want, you will click on it and Add.Here are some links with more information about the widgets you are looking for.
