How do I get back Domain Mapping after accidentally cancelling auto-renew?
-
Hello wordpress, hope you can help
While trying to cancel the “Auto Renew” option for Domain Mapping I’ve now cancelled mapping of alienfiction.com entirely
I’m not sure but I think my Domain Mapping was set to expire in November
Would it be possible to remap alienfiction.com to my default wordpress site?
Sincerely
Robert

In the whois info, I still see the domain pointing to WordPress.com, although I am not able to access the site at alienfiction.com address.
Are you unable to get into the domain dashboard to change the primary domain to your underlying WordPress.com address until you resolve this? (My thought is that if you entirely cancelled the domain mapping upgrade, you may need to purchase it again to solve this).

I’ve just repaid for Doman Mapping – but am not too happy about loosing a whole four months’ worth, simply because I wanted to disable “Auto Renew”
– Any chance of changing the store layout, so that it’s made explicitly clear mapping will be cancelled if Disable Auto Renew is clicked?
Other than that I’ve no problems with WordPress and think you deliver an excellent service
Sincerely
Robert

Hi Robert,
I extended your domain mapping upgrade, so it is now valid through November 25, 2014. Sorry for the trouble you had with this!
The “Disable Auto Renew” link should not cancel the upgrade, only turn off the automatic renewal. I will have our team take a look at this to make sure the link is working as expected. If you have any other questions or concerns, please let me know!

Dear Rachel
Thank you very much for your prompt and professional response.
I don’t have any other questions at this time.
All the best
Robert
