How do I get back to premium??
-
I had the premium account but today I tried upgrading to the business account. However, I realized the plug-in I wanted to add was not supported, so I canceled my purchase. But now I’m back down to basic. Help!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hello @fundamentallymystyle,
When you canceled your business account it canceled everything which is why you are starting from the basic plan. You should also get your refund in a couple of days. So, I would suggest purchasing a premium account again. However, it seems the modlook tag has already been added to the thread so I would suggest to wait for staff to check your account and see if everything has indeed been canceled.
Best,

Thanks Bill,
I paid $200 to upgrade, which it stated was originally $299. I received an email saying $200 is getting refunded. So, shouldn’t I just go back to my original premium account? Is there a phone number I can call?
Thanks,
Jen -
We currently don’t offer phone support your best bet to get fast support is by visiting our wordpress contact form.
Note that this is only for premium accounts. So, If you can’t submit your issue than you would have to wait for WordPress staff.

Grrr, this is very frustrating. I did submit a contact form and still waiting for a reply. But, thank you so much for your help! I appreciate it.

Hi there,
Your site, fundamentallymystyle.com, is already on the Premium Plan. Are you speaking of another site?
I did submit a contact form and still waiting for a reply. But, thank you so much for your help! I appreciate it.
Did you submit a ticket at https://wordpress.com/help/contact? I don’t see any tickets in your account history. Were you perhaps logged in as a different account when you submitted it?

Thank you for you’re response. I gotten it taken care of, however, now I’m wondering if it’s possible to switch my blog from WordPress.com to WordPress.org because the widgets I need to install are not supported by WordPress.com?

because the widgets I need to install are not supported by WordPress.com?
Do you perhaps mean plugins? If you upgrade to the Business Plan you’ll be able to install most plugins listed in the WordPress.org plugin directory, but if you’d prefer to migrate to a self-hosted setup instead, you can find detailed instructions here:
However, your original Premium Plan payment from June is beyond the point where it is possible for us to issue even a late refund. We could convert that to a Jetpack Premium plan for you if you install and activate Jetpack on the new self-hosted site, though.

Jetpack is a plugin you can install on a self-hosted site that connects the site to your WordPress.com account. This allows you to use your WordPress.com login and the WordPress.com interface to manage your site, and also gives you access to WordPress.com features like our following feature, likes, stats, etc.
On the paid Jetpack plans we also offer backup services for your site, so should it get hacked or an update breaks something, you can restore it with one click, as well as security features, advanced social sharing options, video hosting and access to our WordAds program.
You can see a full list of features for the Jetpack Premium plan here:
https://woocommerce.com/my-account/create-a-ticket/?
It costs the same as a WordPress.com Premium Plan, so we could just switch your existing WordPress.com Premium Plan over to a Jetpack Premium Plan once you have a self-hosted site set up and Jetpack connected.

First you’ll need to get hosting set up and the WordPress software installed at your host. We have some information on how to get started here:
We also have a comprehensive guide on how to move all the content on your current site over to a self-hosted site:
Once you’ve moved everything over and your domain is pointed to the new site, go to the Plugins section in the dashboard, search for and install Jetpack, and connect it to your WordPress.com account.
Then reply here or start a live chat with us and we can help you move over your followers and stats, and switch your WordPress.com Premium plan to a Jetpack Premium plan. Should you decide to do this via chat, just refer the Happiness Engineer in the chat to this thread so they can see what we’ve discussed thus far.

Thank you for all your help! I think I completed everything (It was not easy, but did learn a whole lot). What’s next? 😊
