How do I get comments on a photo to show up in Recent Comments widget?

  The Recent Comments widget does not display any comments. My blog is new and I have a comment on a picture and a reply. These 2 comments show up when the picture is selected, but do not show up in the widget. I made changes to the Settings/Discussion window, but they still don’t show

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  To the best of my knowledge, only comments made directly to posts or pages will appear in the Recent Comments widget. It won’t show comments made on images in the Photo Carousel or image Attachment Pages.

  You can turn off commenting on images entirely in order to encourage people to make their comment in the post if you wish. See here: http://gammagirl.wordpress.com/2008/07/27/not-the-official-wordpresscom-gallery-faq/4/ specifically under “Commenting”.

  I thought there might have been something simple that I was missing. I think I’ll just let people comment on the images if they like.
