How do I get facebook to upload and updated post i.e change of picture, excerpt?

When I reset featured image, edit excerpt and update it, I share it with my facebook timeline. But the new changes aren’t showing.

Once something has been submitted to your Facebook timeline it won’t automatically update. However, you can try submitting the address of your post to the Facebook debugger so it fetches the new image: https://www.facebook.com/login.php?next=https%3A%2F%2Fdevelopers.facebook.com%2Ftools%2Fdebug%2F
Still, it’s not guaranteed it’ll update the image in the timeline. You might need to re-share the post.
