How do i get into my admin page/dashboard?

    How do i get into my admin page/dashboard? It doesn’t recognize me at MY SITE?

    Hi there,

    Can you please share your website’s URL?
    What is the issue while you access it from My Sites?

    You can directly type your website’s URL and add /wp-admin at the end to get into the dashboard.
    For example, if your site is example.wordpress.com then for admin you can type example.wordpress.com/wp-admin on your browser and load the page.

    No wait. I thought I could get in but I can’t.

    The url is davidheseltineabstracts.com

    My site is blank and I seem to be locked out and have to invite myself.

    I am getting very frustrated.

    Can you please give some more details like what error are you getting while logging in?
    What do you mean when you say “have to invite myself.”?
    Are you not the admin of this website or do you have some other user roles?

    Thank you for trying to assist me. This is the message I get even though I am the administrator and made the site:

    User songremainsame Cannot Access the Dashboard Requested
    You are logged in as “songremainsame” and do not have the necessary privileges to access the dashboard for “Abstract and Meditative art for all”. If you are not “songremainsame”, please log out, and log back in with your username. If you are “songremainsame” and you need access, please ask an administrator of the site to invite you.

    This is the message I get and songremainsame is my gmail address that it asks for.

    Hi David,

    Thank you for the details.
    It clearly says you were trying to access the dashboard for “Abstract and Meditative art for all” for which you do not have admin access.

    I believe the site you are trying to access is under another username and not “songremainsame”. If you remember the username for that site, please login through it and then try to access your dashboard through davidheseltineabstracts.com/wp-admin.

    If you do not remember your username or email and password for that account, you can go for an account recovery in the link below:

    https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recovery

    I am also going to add “modlook” tag here so that staff can check about it and let you know.

    David, you’re just signed in to the wrong WordPress.com account to access the dashboard of that site. Try signing out, and back in with your other email address. Let me know if you need more help.

    Thank you to you both for your assistance. While I have now been able to log in, I still cant get to the dashboard/admin. Can you tell me what the suffix is after my website url?

    Hi David,

    The suffix is wp-admin. So to get to your site’s dashboard, you should type davidheseltineabstracts.com/wp-admin in the url.

    I suggest you to bookmark this URL so that you can easily access it whenever you want to. :)

    Go to https://wordpress.com/me/, and click the Sign Out button.

    Then go back to https://wordpress.com/log-in, and log in using your other username that you’d used to create that site, not songremainsame
