How do I get just reader comments to show up in my sidebar and NOT my replies?

I only want comments by my readers to show up in my sidebar, NOT my replies, help!

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Sorry, you cannot filter out your comments. The recent comments widget shows comments from everyone.

Crud, thank you for replying so quickly! I hate seeing mt name and picture so much when I reply to everybody because it bumps the reader’s comments out of the sidebar. Sometimes that could leave only my picture in the five comment lineup! Ugh!

Oh, I am SOOOOO wrong. The recent comments widget on Liquorice has the ability to filter out (hide) comments from certain authors. Go to appearance > widgets, open the recent comment widget, select “hide” from the top left pulldown, select “author” from the lower left pulldown, and then select your name from the right lower pulldown and then click “save.”

I guess I should say I don’t mind my comments showing up on the posts , just not in the sidebar :). Thanks again!

Click the “visibility” button to get the filtering section to appear.

Well.. I tried that as you said and it didn’t work. When I go back to my blog, my comments are still there….

I just deleted it and reinstalled it to see if it would fix the problem but that didn’t help either. It’s back up :)

Hmmmm, I just tried it in my test blog and it doesn’t work either. Perhaps this feature isn’t yet finished. I’ll do some ferreting around and see what I can find out.

Leave the filtering in place. If this is not yet activated, when it is, then your filter should be applied and hide your comments from the recent comments widget.

I’m waiting back for word from the developers.
