How do I get my blog posts to appear as excerpts on the front page instead of the whole post.

  How do I get my blog posts to appear as excerpts on the front page instead of the whole post? I tend to write long posts and would like only the first x number of lines to show. Thanks!

  Automatic experts is only a feature of certain themes.

  If you like your particular theme, I recommend creating an excerpt with the More tag: http://en.support.wordpress.com/splitting-content/more-tag/
