How do I get my design and layout back?

Why did my layout change, including the font and header and sidebar, plus color. Pretty much everything changed and I lost my design. I tried in a couple of browsers.

Hi!
It looks like you recently changed themes from the Bon Vivant theme to the Harmonic theme on goodmotherdiet.com. Are you referring to that change? When you change themes, the theme fonts might be slightly different. However, you can set that back up again under Appearance -> Customize -> Fonts. You can also reset the color scheme via the same menu.
Please let me know if you’re referring to something different!

To get back to the Bon Vivant theme, navigate to your Themes page here:
https://goodmotherdiet.wordpress.com/wp-admin/themes.php
From that page, search for Bon Vivant. Then, click “Activate” after hovering your mouse over that theme.

The theme came back but I have lost the entire side bar which is basically everything. Why did this happen? I never changed my theme. I paid for it.

I’m completely freaking. All my widgets are gone, all the text and code which took a long time to write. Please tell me you have a backup! Why did it all disappear?

I’m not sure exactly why the theme switch occurred if you did not activate the new theme. It appears as though the theme was switched five days ago. Were you checking out new themes around that time?

Jeremy. There must be some way for YOU to restore my sidebar. With one button You told me to push YOU wiped out everything. I’m having trouble moving them all over since they are so far down the screen, I lose them by the time I get to the side bar box.

Never mind. I am painstakingly moving them one at a time. How do I make sure this doesn’t happen again? I’m not looking at other themes.

The “Activate” button we pushed earlier is the only way to reactivate the Bon Vivant theme on your site. However, when you activate a theme with a different widget configuration, the widgets are moved to the Inactive area. Unfortunately, there isn’t a way to re-activate the theme without having the widgets removed.
How do I make sure this doesn’t happen again? I’m not looking at other themes.
I’m honestly not sure how this happened. This would only happen if you enabled the new theme from either Appearance -> Themes in your Dashboard or from themes.wordpress.com. Provided you do not click “Activate” on any of the themes there, this shouldn’t happen again!
