How do I get my domain from WordPress to Squarespace?

  Hi,

  I Emailed support about this issue, and I got an answer back, which was something I had not tried yet. However, I’m still not getting what I need. My domain is hosted through WordPress, but I want the domain to point to Squarespace. I’ve changed the A record and the CNAME record, but still the content is not showing up on WordPress. I’m sure I am doing something wrong, but I need help.

  Hi there!

  I just took a look at your domain settings and it looks like you might not have saved your changes.

  Can you try setting your A records and CNAME again and make sure you save your changes at the end!

  Point a Domain to an External IP Address

  Let me know if you have any trouble with that!

  Hello,

  I tried again and hit ‘save’, and it displayed a message that the change I was making conflicted with your records. What am I doing wrong?

  Hi there!

  I’m sorry about that. I’m not sure what happened there, but I did just walk through the directions Squarespace offers, which are a little out of order. Generally, you want to change the A record before the CNAME records:

  I’ve changed and saved both of these records for you, so your domain should point to Squarespace within the next few hours. It looks like all that’s left to do is link your domain to your new Squarespace site if you haven’t already done so:
