how do I get my domain name that is mine on my host site, but wordpress says no

a few hours ago, my choice for domain name was available. Now the site says it was taken. Is it thinking I’m someone else, or did someone come in and snatch my name, not a likely popular one, while I was debating over pricing? I was seeking to use davardoc.com because that’s what I just bought on Blue Host. So if I have it on blue host, why is WordPress saying it’s not available? Below, wordpress has been inserted in my blog url. Why is that?

If you want visitors to see davardoc.com when they visit your blog davardoc.wordpress.com. – then you want domain mapping to change what visitor see
If you are trying to register davardoc.com here also – a domain name can only be registered one place
