How do I get my email separated from WordPress?

  I have a blog on another site and was going to change to wordpress and opened a site using my email address. But I had to be signed in to leave a comment anywhere.

  Except I decided to keep my blog where it was. I was told if I changed my email address, I could go back to posting without being signed into to wp. Wrong. How do I free my email address from wordpress?

  I’m not sure I understand your issue. You created a WordPress.com account to check out creating a site here, then decided to stay with your current setup. What issues are you having related to your email address at this point?

  When I want to leave a comment on someone’s WordPress blog, I type in my email and it tells me to log into my account. I want to leave a comment using my email account without logging into WordPress.

  I’ve changed the email address on WordPress to something different. But it is still associated somehow with the original email. Apparently gravatar accounts can not be deleted.

  Gravatar accounts and WordPress.com accounts are the same thing and cannot be deleted.

  Is there any way to disassociate my original email from wordpress?

  If you change you email address here your original email address will be disassociated with your WordPress.com account.
