How do I get my expired domain back?

    Hello! I just realized my website expired and I would like to somehow get everything back. I have it backed up on Blue Host, and I am distraught by this information. I had been unable to make the payments. Is there any way I can help get this issue fixed ASAP? Thank you so much and I really appreciate your time.

    Hello,

    My website was http://www.willfulandwildhearted.com and yes it was purchased through WordPress. It expired as the card on file was not updated and the emails I was getting notifying me of this was sent to an email I rarely check.

    Hi there,

    Your domain expired and is now in redemption. Normally, that requires you to pay for the domain renewal plus an additional $80 redemption fee. We are able to help offset the cost of getting your domain back online by waiving the $80 redemption fee as a one-time courtesy.

    Hello, before I pay for this, my question is: will all the data from my website return or has that gone away, too?

    Your WordPress.com site you had connected to that domain still exists at the free WordPress.com address at https://willfulandwildhearted.wordpress.com/, and all its content can still be viewed there.

    If you had that domain pointed to a different site at another host, your content should still be safe on that hosting provider’s servers as well, provided your hosting account with them haven’t expired. You can’t access it, because there’s no domain connected to the server, but the content itself will still be on the server.

    In that case you might need to contact your hosting provider to reconnect the domain on their end once it’s restored on ours, though.
