Hi there,
It looks like you don’t currently have any header image selected for sunshinepathways.com. If you could please set an image as a header under Appearance >> Customizer >> Header, I’ll be happy to take a look and see what is going awry (please keep in mind that this theme requires that the header be 980 x 520 px).
Let me know when that’s uploaded and set and I’ll take a look!
Thanks in advance.

Correction: blog that I need help with is at http://www.sunshinepathways.com
I have the background blank (blank color) right now. Under the header tab in the Customize section I have selected the stock photo that comes with the theme upon purchase.

Ah! I see the issue!
You currently have a static page set to be your home page. The Organization theme is set so that the featured image of any page is the header. The header image which is set in the Customizer is only active if you have the blog stream set as your home page.
So all you need to do is go in to your Pages >> Edit “Home” >> Add a featured image and you should be fine.

I changed it from a static page to “my list of posts.” When I still edit and click on the image, it shows up on the edit. I hit save and publish. Then when I go and look at the live site, nothing is there.
Am I doing something wrong?

@ josephthompson, there was a glitch with the customizer, so the header image needed to be added via the WP admin controls. I’ve added it for you, so you should be all set.
Let me know if you need anything else!
