How do I get my header to display correctly?
-
Hi, I have a custom header for my site, and it won’t display correctly on some computer screens, like my 21.5 inch monitor. How can I format it so it will fit properly? Thanks!!

Hi Mysti,
When you say that it’s not displaying correctly on larger monitors, what do you mean? What’s displaying incorrectly?
Thanks in advance!

I can’t see all of the image. The text on top and bottom is partly cut off. I tried resizing the image to the recommended size, but it looks the same no matter how I resize it.

Thanks for clarifying that for me! I understand what is going on now. The Hemingway Rewritten theme is continuing to expand the width of your header but is not allowing the height to get any taller, thus preventing your whole image from displaying.
Again, thanks a bunch!
I have put this in front of our theme developers, and as soon as I have some additional information from them, I will let you know.

Hey Mysti!
Thanks for bringing this to our attention!
Hemingway Rewritten’s header image area works best for decorative background images, because it does get cropped at different screen sizes (as you’ve found), depending on the image being used and the size of the screen. This is normal behavior.
I’ve added a note to the theme’s documentation to make this clearer, since it wasn’t noted before. Very sorry for any confusion; I hope this clarifies!
Cheers,
Caroline
