how do I get my home page to show multiple posts

  Hi!

  I need help. I created reporitgirl.com– a web platform to support survivors reporting sexual assault– and I’m trying to add another post (with a new story) to the home page. How do I do this?

  Kat,

  All you’ll need to do is create another post, save and publish it, and it will appear on your home page.

  Hello there, Sorry about that — I was looking at your other site!

  You have your home page set up to display a static page. If you want your home page to display posts, you’ll need to adjust your settings.

  Take a look at these instructions about how to set your front page:
  http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/front-page/

  You will adjust your settings to reflect your Blog displaying on your Front Page.

  Thank you! Okay I made the changes and it’s looking better. How do I only have the first few lines of the post on the front page instead of the whole thing?

  Hi Kat,

  What you can do is create and Excerpt. This will only show whatever you set as an excerpt on your main Posts page with a link to view the entire post.
