How do I get my media files to export from WordPress.com to DreamHost?

  I followed all the instructions I could find for switching my wordpress.com site to a dreamhost hosted site and for the most part it worked. However, all of my media files did not transfer and the galleries and I had created on wordpress.com have disappeared.

  Can you help me remedy this situation?

  I’m still using the same domain name (easydistance.com) but the original before I registered was kehoesonatrain.wordpress.com

  Provided you check “All Content” as shown here, all media files should be transferred as well:

  Export Your Website’s Content

  I checked out your Media Library, and it doesn’t seem like you have too many media files (something that can cause a problem). On your self-hosted site, are you seeing all of the images within your Media Library (just not on your posts) or are the images missing from the library as well?

  I did click on the “all content” button when I downloaded my xml file but none of my images in my new media library appeared.
