How do I get my new blavatar to appear in Linkdin?
-
I managed to change my blavatar after several attempts and clearing the cache. And the right image (of a house) now appears on my blog. However, when I try to provide a link to my blog in Linkdin, the old blavatar still show up.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

LinkedIn caches the data it retrieves the first time the link is previewed and keeps it cached for a week. Currently they don’t provide a tool to clear the cache.
The only way to “clear” the sharing preview cache for LinkedIn is to trick LinkedIn into thinking your page is a different (and new) page.
This is done by adding a made-up parameter to the link. It doesn’t affect your webpage, but it does force the metadata to be re-fetched.
Example:
Original link: http://thisoddhouse.org
“New” link: http://thisoddhouse.org?1 -
Thank you for your help. Unfortunately, it is still retrieving the old image. If I understand you correctly, if I wait a week and try again, will that fix the problem?

Yes, please. Hopefully their cache will be cleared by then.
