how do i get my personalized domain name to work?

    I purchased the domain name “thejadeleaf.com” from bluehost, then I canceled their service shortly after. Now I want to use that domain name on my wordpress blog but I can’t get it to work. I don’t know if I’m doing something wrong when I try to use that domain name in wordpress or if the problem is that the domain name is frozen in cyberspace so it won’t work.

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hey there!

    It seems that when you canceled your services with Bluehost, you canceled your domain (thejadeleaf.com) altogether. Right now, nobody owns it.

    While you bough Domain Mapping at WordPress.com, you have no domain to map your site to.

    If you’d like to re-register thejadeleaf.com, you can do so in your Store in your Dashboard, or simply click here:
    https://thejadeleaf.wordpress.com/wp-admin/paid-upgrades.php

    Select Add a Domain, and go forward with the registration.

    I’m not having any luck yet. Maybe I’m doing something wrong?

    When I try to register the domain thejadeleaf.com, on the my domains page. I get a message saying that domain is already mapped to wordpress blog. And in fact if I go to my domains page, it shows thejadeleaf.com and thejadeleaf.wordpress.com in the box there.

    The problem is if I click on the jadeleaf.com or select it as my primary domain I get “the webpage is not available” message.

    So it’s seems the domain name is registered but doesn’t work for some reason. I have wordpress premium so I should get a free domain name.

    Do you have any other suggestions. Thanks for you help so far.

    Hi there!

    Ok, as you set up domain mapping before you repurchased the domain name, this could be causing the trouble.

    I have disconnected the mapping of thejadeleaf.com. Please try the registration process again. As you have the Premium upgrade, you shouldn’t be asked to pay anything to upgrade your site with a custom domain.
