How do I get my picture to line up straight?
-
I have directed that my photos are on the left and also “none”, but they seem to layer, like pages in a book, and by the 6th pic, they are running off the column to the right. I have tried Safari and Firefox, but they are both the same. My catch is kept clean on both browsers, I just want my pictures to line up straight. What am I doing wrong?

That’s because you inserted each one inside the caption of the previous one. You need to delete all of them and re-insert them; after you insert a captioned image, make sure the cursor is outside the caption area before doing anything else. Inserting captioned images is easier in the Text editor rather than the Visual.

I have to learn everything the hard way! I caption each pic as I load it, and following your instructions, I entered them each with the cursor outside the the caption area. Was so pleased with myself when I could see that they all lined up beautifully, so felt no need to preview as I went. Imagine my surprise when I discover all the captions at the bottom of the page. I will now try for the 5th time to get this %$#$@# page right! Wish me luck… I’ll need it!

a) Now you have a more serious issue. See here:
http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2012/05/19/sidebar-at-the-bottom-and-related-issues/b) Captioned images are very tricky. As I wrote above, try the Text editor.

Thanks so much. I tried the text editor, but I don’t trust what I can’t see! I have it now… working like a charm… check out my Alesund post.
