How do I get my posts to post to my Posts page?
-
Hi, thank you so much for your assistance. I am very grateful. I posted my first post on my new blog this morning. The post appears on the Home page, but does not appear on my Posts page. What do I need to do to so that my posts end up on my Posts page as they are published? Thank you!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi again!
I think the following instructions will help:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/front-page/I saw your other question as well….the instruction at the link I provided above should fix both your issues.
Please let us know if you have any other questions. Thanks much!

Hi Robyn,
Thank you so much for responding to both of my questions. I am so grateful for your assistance. Your “fix” for the home page worked and now I can toggle back and forth between the three pages on my blog and not receive any error messages – However, …. (Issue 1) when I do move from my Home page to my About page and back to my Home page, the Comments form disappears from the blog post on my Home page. Additionally, when others have read that single, first post on my Home page today, the Comments form didn’t appear for such readers to use. What should I do about both Comments form issues? Thank you. Issue 2: Can I make my posts automatically appear on my Home page and my Posts page? Or, do posts only appear on one page or the other. My idea was that the latest three or four posts would post (sequentially) on the Home page as the same were published and then those same posts would automatically and simultaneously be added to my Posts page as the same were published and that page (my Posts page) would be the main repository of the last 8 or 10 posts. Is this the way it works? Or should work? Or am I out of touch with the “norm?” Please advise and instruct me what to do and how to do it. Thank you so, so much. I am truly grateful for all of your help. Jay

Hey Jay!
Good to hear from you again, and I’m glad the home page fix worked.

The comment box appears on individual posts, not your homepage. Notice the difference between this:

and this:
http://jaywtaylorblog.com/My idea was that the latest three or four posts would post (sequentially) on the Home page as the same were published and then those same posts would automatically and simultaneously be added to my Posts page as the same were published and that page (my Posts page) would be the main repository of the last 8 or 10 posts
My suggestion is not to do this. I am more than happy to help, if that’s what you choose to do, but it’s not conventionally how people expect to read a blog.
My advice is to choose a page, either the home page or blog page, where your posts will display. Then, add the Recent Post Widget or Archives Widget to your sidebar. If you do this, your readers can navigate through older posts.
A bit about those widgets:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/recent-posts-widget/
https://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/archives-widget/You might also like to show just an excerpt of your posts on the home page/blog page, and then your readers will have to click to Read More. This will draw them further into your site, and take them to your individual blog post page where your comments box is. Just thought I’d throw that out there, if you’re interested:
