How do I get my stats to b accurate?
-
Hi. I don’t think my stats are completely accurate for two reasons?
1.). I have several followers but some days I have 0 viewers and still get comments. This must be because people are reading my blog from the posts being emailed to them or from the reader. They haven’t actually gone to the blog but were able to comment anyways.
2.). When I do new things like putting links to related posts on my blog I test the links out first. It’s a good thing I do, because sometimes the links don’t work. Yesterday I put in several links in a page called “the storey so far”, and tested each and everyone of the links. Sometimes more than once (if they didn’t work the first time). I got 84 views in that hour it took me to do that. Unless somebody was looking at several posts the same time I was doing that, those are all views from me.
How do I make it so.
1.) when somebody reads my posts even though the reader or it being emailed to them it still shows up on my stats?
and
2.) My own views don’t show up on my stats?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

re: 2.) Provided you are logged in when visiting, your own views are not recorded on any public blog you registered. http://en.support.wordpress.com/stats/
Please do not assume that everyone who clicks a like button actually reads the post on your blog because odds are they may not.
Also note that those who follow your blog in the Reader or by email don’t have to click into the blog unless they wish to.
Likes and shares and comments and reblogs and follows are not page views. In fact, likes, shares, comments and reblogs are completely misleading when you are talking about page view stats. Your followers and anyone with a WordPress.com/Gravatar account who is logged into WordPress.com can “follow” your blog, “like”, “share” and “reblog” your posts in several locations such as the Reader, without ever clicking into your blog and creating a single page view stat.
Logged in visitors using a mobile can read the full post without creating a page view stat. https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/wordpresscom-reader-show-full-text?replies=31#post-1373606
You can control the length of the entry sent out on your RSS feed here > Settings > Reading. Choose the “summary” setting for your RSS feed rather than to “full text”. That will compel followers who are not using mobiles to click into the blog to read the full post which will create a page view stat.
Our stats are not real time stats. For details see here http://en.support.wordpress.com/stats/ and note the views and viewers take hours to update.
