How do I get notified when I get a new subscriber…

  I have never received notifications via email from new subscribers, yes I have my emial notifications turned on, I have read every bit of documentation on this topic. Please help!I have a self hosted wordpress.com site, not org.
  I can’t see a stats tab, I have no idea who my subscribers are, which is powered by feed burner.
