How do I get on the recommended list?

I’ve always wondered how are these administered and maintained? Is it a paid service or is there a juried selection process?

WordPress.com staff picks the sites that they think are best for this. So just make sure you create a great site with awesome content! ;)

Produce unique content that cannot be found elsewhere in the internet and cross your finger is my advice. Staff do the “recommended” selections and there’s no means of nominating one’s own site to be selected. It’s like Freshly Pressed https://en.support.wordpress.com/freshly-pressed/
